A Designer You Can Count On

  • Sleek Drill

Drill that flows. Drill that creates focus. Drill that sets up moments. Drill that is both challenging and achievable. Drill that is creative. Drill that empowers your performers.

  • Great communication

Call me. Text me. Let’s brainstorm. Let’s plan out the season. Let me talk with the arrangers and choreographers. Let’s achieve greatness together.

  • Delivered On Time

Delivered with enough time to learn, get comfortable, and make changes. Delivered with enough time so the music and choreography can thrive, too.

Ryan combines creativity with practicality in a way that makes his drill writing stand out. He is collaborative throughout the process, open to feedback, and consistently meets deadlines without sacrificing quality. He’s someone you can trust to deliver a strong product every time.

There are not many in the DFW area who have risen to the level program coordinator and designer stature like Ryan Miller. I have had a front row seat to his entire career, and his growth as a teacher and designer has been one of the highlights of mine. His products are timely, achievable and thoughtful.

About Ryan

Ryan Miller has been writing drill for over fifteen years, working with programs nationwide. His groups have medaled in NTCA A Class every year since 2011, made WGI finals, and earned regional medals in both fall and indoor. He served as Visual Caption Head at Vigilantes Indoor Percussion, sits on the NTCA Steering Committee, and holds a B.A. in percussion from UT Arlington.

The art of drill writing and staging clicks with the way Ryan’s brain is wired. As a percussionist, he has a special ability to marry film with soundtrack. He values teamwork and student growth, improving the lives of performers, audiences, parents, and directors.

He's also a full-time percussion director, which means he knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end: waiting on files, chasing down communication, trying to teach a show that doesn’t quite fit your students. That’s what shapes how he works. Clear communication, creative staging built around your performers, and a process you don't have to stress about.

He lives in the DFW area with his wife and two kids, and he genuinely wants your season to go well.
